AURORA
The aesthetic of the late 1990s and early 2000s - chrome gradients, iridescent surfaces, pill shapes, and the pure optimism of the digital millennium. Revived with modern browser capabilities and Aurora colour palettes.

Never a Flat Colour
Every surface is a gradient - pink-to-violet, violet-to-cyan, or full aurora sweeps. Flat colour is absent from the Y2K vocabulary. The gradient is the voice.
The Rounded Rectangle
border-radius: 999px is the signature form. Pill-shaped buttons, tags, and navigation elements define the Y2K silhouette - soft, friendly, optimistically futuristic.
Glass and Chrome
Translucent panels with backdrop-filter and chrome-like metallic gradients create the layered, reflective surfaces that defined late-90s digital optimism.
Dark Canvas Required
Aurora and neon colours only glow against darkness. The deep void background (#08001A) is not optional - it is the canvas on which the palette performs.
